I just really like the acronym MAP. It is easy to remember, and fits in with the whole texture map, reflection map, bump map, etc. terms associated with animation. The downside to the name (spelled out) is that it is long with many sylables. So, along with the "M" names, I am also considering some short, one-word names. Seriously, thanks for sparking up some new ideas for me. It is easy to get burned out on the whole name thing. After a while, nothing sounds right. Thanks for the info on the CIS database too.
