Can you tell me more about this Intergraph ad in the MM guide? Considering the insanely high advertising rates for that, I'm going to p-o'd if it's going to be yanked, either officially or un-officially by dealers who don't like what's inside. As for mail order sales stealing from walk-in dealer sales, hey, as you said, it's the way the software business has been turning. Why? Consumers. They're the ones who decide that it's worth their time to spend two hours on and off the phone shopping for a mail order house that can save $20 on a purchase. Meanwhile, they've bothered three dealers, two developers, and their friends with pre-sale technical questions. What a savings. 🙂 Or maybe they're looking for a place that can sell them software at 4:30 pm on Friday with Saturday delivery so they can get that job done by Monday. I'm not claiming that's a good way to work, I'm just saying I see plenty of customers who are stuck in that mindset.
