This sounds different from what you are describing, but I will outline the steps in which I created this project and then the problem I found with my shaking camera. *1. The project was a large civil site created from GIS Data and AutoCAD R12. *2. I used VisualLink to create the 3DS file (this seemed much faster than converting a 3 meg DXF file). *3. Created the Camera movements in AutoCAD with a DXF and also tried exporting 3Dpoints using Mark Meier's CALC KXP to import the path. *4. Used Tempo to create the drive-by of project (approx. 2 miles @ 60 mph). Being a long time AutoCAD user and my largest 3DS project (5 megs), I over looked a problem in 3DS3 which should have been my first clue, the coordinate display was locked at 1000000.0,1000000.0 !!! (ACAD F6 coords ON/OFF). This seemed to be the limit of 3DS. The project was imported from GIS Data, at 6350000.0,1875000.0 and the vertices fell on the nearest random point that they could find and I could never get the points between the Keys to smooth out. I moved everything back to 0,0,0 and all was well! At first this looked like a import problem with the DXF path or the GIS Data being inaccurate, after two weeks of fighting this problem I became at ease with Key framing very fast. Mike Morgan, CAD Forms Inc. P.S. I had to deliver this job with the bumpy path, I just told the client that we were in a big semi-truck<G> Good luck Steve, I know how you feel!
