> I don't know if anybody else agrees w/ me Hey, here's a BIG vote for as much documentation as anyone can stand. Have you ever heard anyone complain "Hey, this product has too much documentation!" (well, maybe the 3 lbs of VC++ from MS :>)? In the case of IPAS or speciality products (such as WB) that third parties will almost never write anything about (I haven't seen New Riders IPAS book, however) it's critical that the software authors spend as much time as possible outlining all the things they can think of. In many cases, they are literally writing the first and last word on the software. A good beta can provide a lot of this — when I beta software I write up procedures and techniques and pass it along (some of it makes it in the actually product!).
