It appears as if you are mistakenly using the /L (elle) switch, versus the /I
(eye) switch. This would force the render command line to create a single file
as the "last image file", versus separate GIF files. When you replace the /L
with the /I, you will get 4 separate files. See "Advanced Users Guide", pages
11 & 12.
