Hi, Whenever I open an .ASC file the map is messed up. Specifically, if you've lofted a torus (or anything where the end reconnects with the beginning) in 3ds with mapping coordinates and render it, the texture will appear evenly spaced throughout the loft. But as soon as you save it as .ASC and reload it, one of the cross-sections has the texture crammed in it several times, but the rest of it is fine. This happens because the UV coordinates for mapping start at 0 and build to say 5 if it repeats 5 times in the length of the loft. So the last cross-section goes from 5 to 0 (where it reconnects with the beginning) and you see the texture crammed in this space. How do .3ds files get around this, because it doesn't happen with shapes saved as .3ds or those made in 3D studio? And is there anyway to load an .ASC file with all the mapping correct? Or maybe a way to fix it once it's load? I need any info or help, my program won't work unless I can fix this. ————-Will P.S. Do you not understand what I'm asking? I can make it clearer.
