I think I get the clone ink part and all. << not a dumb question at all, Barry, and please, anytime you have any question whether you think it's dumb or not, ask it. we all have these types of questions from time to time, and every time, we win by asking. 🙂 i use several ways to get images into digital formats (into a file format AAS can use). the first i ever had was a Logitech hand scanner. these mouse-on-steroids devices basically roll across an image (magazine or whatever) and create BMP or TGA files which can then be processed with AAS. the second i have is an HP Scanjet… a mutant copy-machine/printer device which converts 8.5×11 type images to a file format. the third is an Intel Indeo Smart Recorder which turns your VCR or VHS camera into a still image or movie scanner. in all cases, you'll want to have plenty of free harddisk space to save the images or animations. -dave
