<<not knowing what VR and Rend are doing at the file level (AVI file can be a meaningless description… hence CODECS)… no, i don't. nonetheless i am extrememly glad to read this.>> I ran into another problem yesterday that made me crash back to DOS again. I haven't had a chance to try it again today but as I recall I saved the JPG series as an AVI file and then tried to manipulate it again. It looks like (at this point) the .JPG series is the only stable format for me. Also – when I saved it as an AVI it was HUGE! Over 70 MB! The collection of JPGs is only 7 or so. I'm a little dark on the whole vid compression deal. Which scheme should I use?
