James – The worse node I use (other than the horrible TYMNET node at my mom's in VA) is my 14400 baud local node. It is busy a lot or does a RNA (ring, no answer). However the 2400 baud node is quite clean and I will use it if I'm just doing message management. We've been told that CIS has a priority on increasing local numbers and on converting a lot of the lower baud rates to 28800. Sure wish they would hurry! I also notice the slow down just about the time school lets out on the East Coast <G> I use Tapcis and occasionaly get a Time Out but for downloading my play forum, it works great. Anne
