Hi, Alan! We've made 2D Refraction IPAS (IXP/PXP/BXP) – it's a very speedy refractive distortion of the background image through the supplied optical density map, it means you can have refraction through the localized objects (see 2D_REFR.JPG) or substancies like hot air or large body of water or whatever (see FFLOW_02.ZIP on ASHOWCASE forum). And if you are lazy about creation of these density maps, there is Fractal Flow, which will create them for you (on the fly). And if you are still involved in games creation check out our "UFO-17" flick (FFLOW_03.ZIP), created overnight with Fractal Flow and Camera Mapping. As usual our IPASes don't add more then a minute per frame – in this case it was 5 sec per frame (17 sec if it were 640×480). Regards, Alex, Video international
