If I owned a Pentium it would spend some of its time running a sane operating system, probably one of the freeware unix lookalikes like Linux or NetBSD. As I understand it the Power PC is a RISC chip which means that it should complete most operations in a single clock cycle, but each operation would achieve less that the more complex instructions of the Pentium.
