This brings us back to the flexibility of the Amiga platform, huh? You could have used the built-in support or develop your own. Did you ever use The Director? It controlled serial devices in the same way. How long did you say the kiosk was in use? However, on the other hand, Asymetrix who publishes Toolbook provide excellent tech support. I suspect that Scala is probably pretty good but using AmigaVision means you have to solve all your problems by your own ingenuity, something that isn't the best when you have deadlines. (Heck, AV doesn't even come with a tech support number!) I would love to force an Amiga solution but I've found people aren't so much interested in pizzaz but if something is an industry standard. I know for a fact that if I had initially chosen the Mac or IBM I would probably be much more secure in my profession. So, do you have any projects on the horizion?
