Lutti: Sorry for the delay; I have been on vacation! >There are several MacBinary files in different forums. I downloaded some of >them, but they all seem to require a programm called "apple file exchange". >Since I don't have this program, I wasn't able to get these files to work >properly. Do you know some other MacBinary progs, which don't require the >"Apple File Exchange", or do you know where I can get the file exchange? <WHACK> Now I remember what I had to do to get the MacBinary file I have. The utilities on CIS all are files that work with "Apple File Exchange", which is a Control Panel in System 6. This was replaced in System 7 by "PC Exchange", which CANNOT use those files!! I ended up downloading the MacBinary program I have from AOL (America OnLine) at my friend's house, using his MAC. I now have this file, which I can upload to CIS! The trick to this is that you must download it using either MacCim or a Mac terminal program like "Z-TERM" in order for the MacBinary formatted file to be separated into a usable program. Tell Ya what I'm going to do. I have MacCim on the SS/MAC, so I will upload the MacBinary utility to the AmigaUser forum's "Emulators" library. It may take a bit for the file to show up. Once it does, download it via the MAC, and then you can convert those other files you downloaded to usable programs. Hope this helps! — Dave
