The Tocatta has to render everything, just like the Vlab/M, EVEN FADES, which is totally ridiculous. I've taken to not dealing with mixing at all on the Vlab, and dumping my cut video with sound to my deck to a tape striped with time code and then using my Ad516 to do mixing and fading and multi-track stuff. This is unfortunate because it's a 2-stage process, because it takes up an extra slot that I don't have, and because I really needed to sell the Ad516 to get some money back when I bought the Vlab/M and Tocatta. >>This is a limitation of AmigaDOS.<< Not true. AFAIK, that was an old limitation. Now AmigaDOS can handle partitions up to 4GB. Paul
