But if You are use Toccata as an Audio Harddisk recording system, Toccata can perform Fades without rendering. And can also play more than two tracks and mixing them together while playing. How much tracks depends of the speed of the CPU, because Toccata has no DSP like AD516 has. (Therefore AD516 costs more than twice the prize of Toccata) And not to forget, the Audio Software which is available for Toccata is bad compared with this excellent Studio16. I can tell You some stories about a copy protection in samplitude SMPTE, which is not only a stupid idea but also a real pain in the ass. But that's another story… regards, Dirk Taggesell
