This is an issue of bus and processor load. Altough Toccata has no DSP realtime mixing is done with the CPU. And mixing two audio streams in realtime means reading two data streams at the same time instead of one. If You would read a video stream as the third stream You would have to lower the video data amount significantly to stay into the speed limit of the harddrive subsystem which causes a loss of video quality. The other aspect is the fact, that this could only be possible with simple A/B-Roll scenarios. As the timeline becomes more complicated (i.e. 2PIP's in front of a third scene) ther would no more way to mix audio in realtime. regards, Dirk Taggesell
