#Opalvision
Bruce,
< What happened to Centaur and Opalvision? Their bulletin board shut down
several weeks ago and now that same number is being auto-answered by some other
computer company.>
I'm not completely sure what's going on with Centaur. I doubt the BBS will
go back up, but obviously if it ever does, it'll be at another number. I talked
to John Seivers a bit over a month ago (shortly after the BBS went down) and he
said that there would be an upgrade to OpalPaint released to Aminet in around a
month or two. He said that the production of the Video Processor was dependant
on what happened with Amiga Tech and the Amiga, and that they should go into
production between 4-12 weeks after machines are on the shelves if all goes
well.
Personally, the feeling I got was not good, which makes me a bit upset.
OpalPaint is the best paint program I've ever seen (and I've seen some great
ones on other platforms) and I'd really hate to see it unsupported. Well,
we've had a miracle or two happen before, maybe another one can help Centaur!
