Michael, .mod-files are Amiga-special music-files. You can play them with many players that you can find in Audio/Midi-Utils library of AmigaArts. If you want to edit some mods, you will need a program like Sound- or Noisetracker, but the best mod-editing program for me is OctaMed. But – the most important thing : you need an Amiga, cause in my opinion there are no converters or players for other platforms. Some special charakteristics: -only for channels (2 left, 2 right) -maximum sample rate for samples used in mods is about 22 kHz -only 8 bit sounds -if you want to download a mod, look at the size, many mods are made of using whole parts of music in one sample (mostly this songs are very stupid cause you can hear 1 sample looped for 100 times) — Tzwen
