Asha,
as i remember, i had also problems with Tapavi…since it is a descendant of
Xanims which supports less avi formats, i pushed it back to the archives 🙂
I haven't tried the audio options ( +Ae ) for no need. You may also need
+Av[0..100] for volume control.
For your avi file in ram: here are the suggested commands (the layout of the
last script was killed by the textfield gadget 🙁 …hope this will do
better…)
;—————–8<—-run-this-as-a-script———————-
setenv X11/askmode 1 ; will ask you for a screenmode
setenv X11/gfxcard 1
setenv X11/displaydepth 8 ; couldn't get more 😐
;
Stack 20000 ; more if you like, less crashes..
;
xanim +Ae +CF4 +fX Koshi.avi
; ^ ^ ^^
; | | ||– verbose
; | | |— don't load complete anim into ram, only needed frames
; | |——- video option. There are lots more, this one works
; | in most cases
; |————- Audio enable
;
;—————–8<—-end-of-script———————
BTW, Xanim is reported to run on a A2000 with a Retina GfxBoard… if you get
it, you may send a message to its maker, Terje Pedersen.
hopefully this helps, with kind regards
