QuickTime Ipas
Thought I might jump in. I already mentioned this in another thread.
I just started using this IPAS. The cool thing that I found was that I could
create MOV files AT THE SAME TIME as sending my output to the PAR drive. The
reason is that the IPAS is run from Video Post as a process.
Therefore when you begin to render, you can also choose your typical output in
addition. They did not mention this in the manual.
The one thing I have found though is the MOV file gets totally hammered if you
interupt your rendering. It has to finish completely. Kinda weird but other
than that it works pretty well. You also have control over the amount of
compression of the output file prior to rendering.
