Alejandro, I will will attemp to help: 1) Single Framing: You need a frame accurate editing deck (Sony makes a nice new one especially for anim. recording), a single frame controller (Diaquest, BCD….etc), and a frame buffer card. All these creatures need to co-exist and talk to each other as well for everything to work correctly. (Cannot just 'go' to VHS type consumer/prosumer decks) 2) Digital Disk Recording: Several options…..most units are digital disk recorders/ frame buffers in one (E.G. PAR,ABEKAS…etc). Often, manual VTR control is required….but just depends on your VTR. (Can output real time video to whatever wants to record it:VHS….etc). There are many variables to be considered: Compression (typical on DDRs), format (NTSC,SVHS,COMPONENT..etc), duration (my ABEKAS holds 60 seconds uncompressed @ $$$, however my PAR holds 10 minutes for a fraction of the cost (it IS compressed however), output (related to format..BetaSP? or S/VHS), Archival importance….etc. If you wish further input from myself please E-mail your 'specific' needs and ball-park budget and I'll try to tell you what your available options might be. I'm not a VAR/Dealer but could put you in touch with a few that I've dealt with for many years (should you get spec-hungry). Jeff Dobrow
