Might be worth having a peek at some of the Matrox cards. I vaguely remember
from when I was shopping for my beast, that they had some 3D specific hardware
functions built in. I didn't buy one though, assumed that the Stealth would be
better supported all round as it was appearing as standard in so many machines.
