#PVR and PCI risers
Hi Doug (and all the rest of you),
My friend got a PVR in this weekend and we got it set up. Hot stuff!
I'm going to be getting one myself, and was told by someone in the Adobe forum
to post a message regarding the PVR and PCI "risers." These risers apparently
are little connectors that you pop onto the bottom of any PCI card, and then
you pop into the PCI slot. The net effect is that the card is now seated above
the CPU or cooling fan. This would allow the PVR to be used in slots where a
heat sink, for example, would normally be in the way.
Have you or anyone heard about such a nifty little device? If so, who makes
them, and how much are they? How reliable are they?
