Just be sure and but the 4meg version to start with. Only it can be upgraded.
If you buty a 2meg version your stuck with it.
I can't see the purpose of the frame grabber card if your like me and have a
PAR board and a TBC/IV card for video capture. But the 4meg addon card!!!
Ahhh!!! Now that's something! 8megs on a low-buck card for 3DS MAX! Cool! Great
for a home machine to do modeling and test rendering while the monster system
is rendering at the office! I like it! I suspect the Millenium will become the
card of choice, at least for the near term, for MAX due to its cost. Not
everyone is going to chunk out $2000-$5000 for a video card set for MAX.
Also after further experimentation, the Millenium is really fast, and the
sample 3D program that comes with it, and has solid rendering preview, just
whets my appetite for MAX. Also the NT drivers do appear stable. We'll see…at
least its not dumping me out and forcing a reboot.
