Hi Dave, I solved the problem. There were really a .FLC and a tune.exe and a read.me file and a runme.me file. At first I thought all I needed was to make the .flc an exe file. But then I had to assume that the person d/l'g the file knows something about doing this kind of thing..and as usual you cannot assume anything with regard to computers and d/l'd files. I wrote a DOS bat file that worked great for this on my 386DX33 at work. Would not work on my computer at home. SO I was wrong, I did not need to make the .flc an .exe file at all. I simply needed to use ZIP2EXE from PKZIP and make the whole thing and .exe file. That way all the person wanting to view the .flc has to do it type the .exe files name and then run the runme.bat file. I guess I made the whole thing more complicated than it had to be. But I am new at this and just learning what needs to be done so others that d/l the file will have the least trouble viewing what they have d/l'd. Why I am doing this? I have a Web page and a good friend was kind enough to let me have one of his flics to have as a d/l from my page. ME, I thought that I could just have a .zip d/l. But others told me that a lot of people that may be d/l'ng it would have no idea what to do with a .zipped file. So my problem was to make it fool proof. And I think that with what I have done, IT IS! I hope that anyone else that is planning to have a web page and offer original d/l's can use this information or if they have a problem maybe with what I have learned doing this I can help. I am going after the program that makes .flc into .exe. It is information that I see I am going to need. Thanks for the information and for all the other good help you have given me………………………………Jane
