In my case, I decided to load my PC in the back seat of my car and go see my granddaughter (a two and a half hour trip). << a three hours tour… a three hour tour… <ggg> i travel a lot and the hard drive on my laptop gave up the ghost. the cause was a mechanical failure. fortunately most of the data has been recovered at this point, but to anyone who has never had a hard drive crash… it ain't pretty. the time in snail mail transit alone is downright ugly. -dave
