>> I want to take an fli file created from 3d studio and convert it to quicktime movie format. And even better they (my client) needs it to be cross platform Mac/Windows. Is this possible? << >>with the current DOS Classic versions of 3D Studio, it requires a utility or program such as Autodesk Animator Studio. depending on your hardware, yes it is possible to generate an Apple QuickTime 2.0 file in AAS and convert it to a Mac format using a PC to Mac converter utility.<< You have two other possiblities. First, there is a IPAS called Quicktime Movie Maker that will output a MooV file from Video Post when you render. Second, if you have Premiere 4.0 for Windows (with Quicktime for Windows installed), you can generate a MooV file that can also be read on the Mac. Quicktime Movie Maker IPAS is the cheapest option here, unless you already have one of the other programs.
