Hi Jonas,
We figured out exactly how SXP bump mapping works. Please scratch the request
for detailed technical information. Would you like a text file explaining the
spatial gradient function operation posted? It has to do with point
multidimensional gradent vectors evaluated across a spatial magnitude function.
Some routines, like the ONLY BUMP MAPPING SXP IN THE DEVELOPER'S KIT, confuse
the issue by fractalizing around the magnitude evaluation at all instantaneous
point calls…
As soon as we do up a manual, we plan to post routines that will replace the
simplistic morphing of the ripple and wave PXPs with time-based SXP control.
