John,
<< have to find the text reader for the AMosaic doc.files as it appears that it
forms part of a complete package, which might help explain all>>
This whole thing kinda works a piece at a time. Someone else here called it
piece meal. Once you get the AmiTCP & PPP piece in place (which are the big
pieces), you just keep adding and updating pieces.
A double click on the AMosaic Icon will start your WWW browser program. (wait
for the complete window) Hint #2: You can capture HTML docs (and FTPed files)
by selecting the load to local disk option from one of the pull down menus of
AMosaic. Hint #3: These docs can be read off line simply by starting AmiTCP.
Have the AmiTCP directory "show all files" and double click on AmiTCP, from
there you will get the guilt screen and the whole works without being online
(saves Bucks!!). Now start AMosaic and select "Open Local". Find the file you
captured online and study it wilst shouting at the children and looking at all
the different ways Bears tried to loose to a (supposed) cakewalk opponent.
Anything but open Wordperfect.
Sorry I lost myself.
<<I probably need a gif.file-viewer, and a sound.player, and may be able to
acquire them through "ftp://max.physics.sunysb.edu/pub/amosaic/support" when I
can navigate the internet, but for now, is anysuch stuff available on CIS?
Thanks for the help. I hope this message gets threw. (throne?)>>
<<<<threw. (throne?>>>> Ba de ba de ba de….Across B-))
>>Do some FTPing at the Amosaic site and hit some of the Amiga links from
there!
I might suggest http://webcrawler.com/ great search tool, AOL does the
maintainence (sp). Course you need to update your AMosaic to a version which
supports forms.
(Studebakers, Amigas, and Exaktas). And like them, trying to stay ahead of the
Pack. Sore neck from looking back.
Best Jim
