G'Day George; Just catching up with CIS after a hetic few weeks finishing some freelance stuff and a couple of books, and noticed your messages. On top of what Jeff has said, I'd also like to point out another obersavation or two that some may find useful. One is that if a graphic (bitmap picture and so on) is changed after it has been placed on the page in ProPage, and then you go to print to a non-PostSCript printer, I have found that ProPage can crash or put out corrupt pages. If however, I print the same document, with the same file to PostScript, ProPage doesn`t crash or corrupt the images. I can also remember having lots of problems getting boxes containing bitmap graphics to print (non-Postscript) when a frame is applied to the same box. I got used to having to place a second box over the top of the box containing the bitmap so I had a frame to a picture. I notice this isnt necessary when I print to PostScript devices. Rotating the boxes I beleive also solved the problem. I don't print to non-PostScript printers anymore as the Colour Stylus we use is now located on the PC and so havent tested this any further to make sure my memory isn't playing me up. I just thought I'd mention it while I'm catching up with all these messages. One last point. I bought an Amiga Technolgies A1200HD about two weeks ago now and the only difference running ProPage on it compared to the older 1200s, is that in 16 colour mode, there is ghosting of the screen requesters. IN 2 and 256 colour mode, ProPage works fine. Ironicly, ProDraw 3, in colour mode, works fine but then it doesnt have a 256 colour mode so its just as well. Larry Hickmott larry@em.powernet.co.uk
