G'Day George Problems with PCX files is not something I have come across because I always convert my bitmap images to IFF-ILBM before I do any work in ProPage. This is just one part of the preparation I do before loading ProPage to start a document. I would like to point that the program I use to do my conversion is one called ImageStudio by Andy and Graham Dean. (not to be confusion with Studio 2 Professional, the printing ehancment package.) ImageStudio has a batch convert script which I also use. I have a Panasonic PD system with CD drive and simply use ImageStudio to convert any PCX images I might have on CD into IFF-ILBMs on my hard drive. Because it uses a disk cache method, ah la virtual memory if you like, I can convert images that ADPro won't touch with a barge pole on my lowly 7 megabyte system. In fact Image Studio is so good, that when CU Amiga (UK Amiga magazine) suggested it should go commercial, the authors and I got together and the upshot of this is that I now sell the program with a manual for only fifteen pounds (30 us dollars including postage). The latest version is 2.3 which has cybervision support and a freely distributable version is on Aminet. The FD version is restricted to loading images no bigger than 250 by 250 pixels.
