It may be that at least one of the reasons for the demise of the LA group was
their dues/fees. They probably had to charge to pay for the meeting space, but
I seem to recall it was like $10 at the door for first-timers, or something
like that, and around $50/yr. Consequently, skeptics like me probably stayed
away in droves. At least, I know I did.
But yes, it is a sad state of affairs. I suppose I'll have to bite the bullet
and plan on a once-a-month run down to OC. See you there!
