#Monitor woes
Hi all,
I am in a quandry on how monitors affect software performance or usability. I
am setting up a Flyer system including a new (to me) A4000 which came with a
CTX monitor. It supports VGA 640 x 350, 640 x 400, 640 x 480. CGA 640 x 200
EGA 720 x 350 and 8514A 1024 x 768. Horizontal frequency for VGA 31.5, CGA
15.8, EGA 21.8, 8514A 35.5.
I was using it with workbench (3.0) just fine in dbl NTSC high res no flicker
mode. When I try and boot the Toaster however….NO GOOD! I know it's booting
OK cause I can get it to work on the ol' 1084 (but not the high res screen of
course). I have reset the workbench to lower screen resolution, but the whole
thing just craps out on Toaster boot up.
Can I use the CTX monitor at all for Toaster/Flyer use? What is the screen
resolution of the Toaster screen? What monitor will let me do both?
Thanks, Gary
