Educational Testing Services (ETS) with the contributions of many members of
the Computer Education Management Association (CEdMA) and the Information
Technology Training Association, Inc. (ITTA) have developed a Certified
Technical Trainer Program.
ETS developed the Certified Technical Trainer (CTT) program to help define and
establish professional standards throughout the technical training industry.
The CTT examinations measure an individuals mastery of fundamental instructor
knowledge and classroom performance ad defined by the International Board of
Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction (ibstipi).
The computer based test: consists of 100-120 multiple-choice questions based
on the 14 ibstpi competencies. Two hours and 5 minuets are allowed for the
completion of the test and some biographical questions.
