They display just like non-interlaced, all at once. Interlaced GIFs display
every 4th (I think) scanline, then fill in the rest 3rd, 2nd, 1st. Some
programs display them as increasing resolution, starting out blocky, then
progressively sharpening up.
It comes in handy with LARGE graphics files, especially on the WWW, you can see
what the picture looks like without waiting for the whole thing to download. If
you don't like it you can stop.
