#InterInstall
Betty,
Your posts on the Internet installation have all been very helpful. I've
done basically everything you've told everyone else to do, but I'm having a
little problem.
– I ran InterInstall with AmiTCP and PPP in its directory, just like you and
the ReadMe file said, – I answered the questions, – I rebooted, – I opened a
shell and typed "internet" just like the ReadMe file said, AND – I watched a
window titled "Dialing" pop up, place my initialization string in it, and sit
there.
I'm using the "serial.device" and unit #0, just like AutoPilot. My
initialization string is simply ATZ. I think that's where the hang-up is. I
looked at AP's initialization string, and it looks a tad bit longer. Should I
change to match AP's? And, if so, where is it located?
One final question: In the TCP's directory is an install icon for AmiTCP.
Do I need to run this even though InterInstall did its stuff?
Thanks for your help.
