To Betty Clay 76702,337 Subject: ProtocolsResearch I have made a series of copies of my NComm program disc. Each one has been configured for a different protocol according to the libraries on the disc. It is my intention to go through the practice forum and test a short upload and download on each to see what happens. Unfortunately I will have to log out after each test as it seems that the Compuserve environment does not allow changes to a protocol once selected. The various options in the options menu are listed down the column and the protocols across the top. The first list is the original settings as received with the program. I will ignore the references to Zmodem. I do not have a Jmodem library. Original X Y Kermit CompB Bimodem Bmodemplus OPTIONS XmodemCRC yes yes no no no no no ChopFiles yes yes yes yes yes yes yes G&R Protocol yes no no no no no no G&R HostMode no no no no no no no Kermit Host no no no yes no no no Kermit 1k no no no yes no no no For the purposes of this test series I will only operate via the phone 4153155 which accesses Compuserve at 14400baud. All discs are set to 19200baud as is the serial configuration in my Amiga Workbench preferences. Settings in both are 8-N-1 Library file sizes for the protocols: XModem no file Ymodem no file Kermit xprkermit.library 22016 CompB xprquickb.library 12696 Bimodem xprbimodem.library 18236 BmodemPlus xprbplus 19004 Before I start this test series, can you please advise me if there is anything I have missed or should change/add to any of the discs. While I address my messages to you directly as we have an ongoing communication stream and therefore know what each other is doing, I presume that your colleagues can also access these to provide their own input.e
