Teig,
If you can afford it, I would recommend ImageFX for painting and image
processing and Brilliance for animation. I realize using Brilliance doesn't
allow you to use the Picasso modes, but it is much faster than DPaint V, uses
the same keyboard equivalents and IMHO has superior animation controls.
