to answer your questions: ALL is possible on an Amiga :-))
You can use UUxT to decode all kinds of files. UUencoding is only a algorithm
to change 8bit code into 7bit ASCII code to send it as normal internet mail.

I have not tried this yet, but I think it is really true. But only for the
files, that are generated by Lha. Lha itself must be another program written
especially for those ugly PCs 😉
