Sean, <Can you tell me if I can use UUxt to uuencode small programs as well as pictures? Also, what kind of compression utility can we use on both platforms? He is using Windows 95 on a PC. Can I use LhA to crunch the program, and will he be able to decrunch it? I noticed that LhA 1.38 says in its description that it is compatible with MS-DOS systems. Does he just pop the same LhA program I use into his c directory? Am I able to create ZIPped files on the Amiga?> Lets see if I can cover all this in some sensible order…:) 1) Yes, Uuxt should allow you to decode the majority of uuencoded files, be they pictures, programs, whatever. 2) You can use either LHA or ZIP cross-platform. We have an ZIP and UNZIP program for the Amiga here (search for ZIP). 3) There is an LHA for clones, but it's a different program. Your friend cannot simply pop the same LHA into his c: directory (do clones even have a c: directory?). Your friend will have to find a PC version of LHA if that's the one you decide to go on. 4) Yes, using ZIP you can creat compatible ZIP files on the Amiga. Hope this helps! 🙂 Asha @}–,–`–
