My most recent public disappointment was an exhibit at a mall (yes, I knew I was in for a treat) of "Dina", a preserved frozen baby mammoth, as shown by some Russian museum. Was it worth $4? No, my wife still teases me about it, and she didn't even go inside. 🙂 The mammoth was heavily Lenin-ized, looking more like a wax copy. But there were some other skeletons, paleo artifacts, and fossils. Hey, the pits are in California… we should expect "No Smoking" signs and "Don't Stick This Twig In Your Ear" signs, too. 🙂 So what was at Meteor Crater?
