EDIT is an extremely POWERFUL line editor. The commands as printed for Edit
in the Amiga Dos users manual are at least twice as long in number of pages
as the commands for ED. EDIT will also accept files that contain Binary code
whereas ED will NOT! and if you do a download from anywhere of an ASCII file
and end up with some binary junk in it, you 'll have to use EDIT to fix it up
as ED won't accept it.

Although EDIT is quite difficult to master, it is VERY powerful medicine.
Once you get the AmigaDos users manual you'll be able to wiggle your way thru
it. Until then dont even *think* of trying to Hack your way around in the
blind in EDIT.
