Claude, On/Off will have no effect under 1.2 for turning off the system
pointers that are loaded when KickStart is loaded. You would have to change
the dip switches to some other address than the autoconfig for it to work (same
as booting under 1.1) Autoconfig memory puts those pointers in expansion
memory and there is no way to turn them off with a program that I know of.
