Sorry to hear that you are having problems with the PW2TDI code generator.
Part of the problem sounds like it is in the PW2.def and PW2.mod files. This
has already been fixed and is available to customers for free. In fact, our
bug-fix and update policy is simply: send us your disk and we send it back with
the latest software. For the moment though, use the PW2.sym and PW2.lnk files
that were in the TDI directory on the release disk, rather than recompiling the
PW2 files. (An old and incorrect PW2.def file was on some of the disks!) As
far as the IMPORT list in the header file goes, feel free to customize this
file as much as you like to remove any unneeded IMPORTs. That is why it was
included as a separate file.
The TDI source generator, which is a separate program from PW2 and does NOT
have any affect on the C and assembler code generation, was extensively tested
here by me and by a Modula-2 expert. However, it sounds like you have hit some
real bugs, so please let us have a detailed description of them and we will fix
them!
By the way, a better example.mod file is also now available. We are working
on the set-up of a 24hr. BBS to support all our users. When it comes up, we
will have a method of quickly and efficiently distributing bug fixes and other
types of support, as well as providing a forum for PW2 users to share ideas.
Please contact us here, by phone or by mail until that time. We'll do
whatever is necessary to support PW2.
Thanks,
Martin Murray
