Don, Maybe I don't understand but that doesn't quite do it. Let me try to explain what I'm trying to do. I have a picture in Dpaint II in Hi-res when I print it out on my NEC P5XL I set my left margin to 1 and the right margin to 40 and I get a clear picture in the left half of the page. I make this setting after I select "print" from DP II. Then what I want to do is go back to the top of the page and print another hi-res picture in columns 40 to 80 (on the right half), thereby creating two columns of graphics on one 8.5 x 11 piece of paper. If, when selecting print, I type in a left margin of 40 and a right margin of 80 I get the same size picture as before but it is still on the left half of the page. According to the DP II manual this is all that is supposed to happen, the left and right margin only control the size, not the positioning of the document. The other thing I have tried is to go into preferences of DPII and change that setting from 1 to 255 to 1 to 40 and then 40 to 80 but this has no effect. In fact, if I set preferences from 40 to 80 and then go into DPII and set right margin to 1 to 40 (for sizing) preferences also gets changed from 40 to 80 to 1 to 40. In a program such as Flow, if you change the margins the text will be moved accordingly. The only thing I still haven't tried is to change the pixel screen size from 640 x 400 to something like 1280 x 200, pasting the two column pictures on this screen and then printing this out. Unfortunately I don't think my 512K can handle this. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Barry
