Thanks for the reply John. I decided to go with the Monterey and have so far been very happy. The sound is great from it and yes, compared to my SB Pro about anything would sound great. Last night I recorded about 2 min. of 44Khz sound in stereo (16 Mb) and when played back, I could not tell it from the original CD source. Because the board uses 32K of Upper memory and not conventional, I didn't lose a thing. With all my drivers loaded, mostly low actually, I've got almost 550K free at the DOS prompt.
