Thanks very much for your reponse. I did not intend to sound as negative as I perhaps did before, but I had tried for weeks to get answers on this, and the notion that there was a problem came from our 3DS dealer and from someone at AutoDesk. Not one call was returned. Utimately, this problem was solved. I am stillnot sure exactly what was wrong, because there are obviouly a lot of variables. I did go into the PAR and rename all of the video clips in the correct format (ABCD0000) which can be incorrect if sent to the PAR otherwise. It may show a truncated name, with four zeros, but appparently it still isn't treated as such at render time. After this was done, the rendering has worked just fine. I think 3DS is a great program, but Autodesk relies heavily on it's dealers and even it's customers to explain these things to each other. We did get a call from our dealer last week. She was following up on a sales call for CrystalGraphics TOPAS. When she realized we were already a customer, and one with an unresolved question, the sales pitch abruptly ended. Again, thanks to everyone that helped. Brian.
