I think the key is if you hang up. If you lock up its quite conceivable
that if you sign on quickly & do a US you will see your ID still there! I admit
its not that long but if you wanna test it dont type anything & see how long it
takes to get a Job terminated by System. If you DONT have DTR set, if you have
dtr forced on all the time or if you are using a Commodore 8bit that doesn't
have dtr CI$ has no way of knowing that you have hung up & may take awhile.
When I used to be an active CI$ subscriber (vic/64/1600/1650 the _old_ days) it
could take up to 30mins & more but this time around CI$ seems to have it down
pat.
