Here are a couple of recommendations (interspersed with some opinion that is
obvious).
1. Keep the PCjr to run IBM software – you won't be able to get what it's worth
to you to keep it since people are still in the "buy the bells and whistles"
mode instead of evaluating what the machine can do for them.
2. The A1000 will soon become an oprhan machine (opinion supported by some
market actions of manufacturers), which you have said that you don't want.
3. Evaluate your future Amiga expansion needs and what you expect your machine
to do for you in evaluating whether to get an A500 or A2000. (for example – if
you plan to do some high powered word processing, consider the A2000 with the
detached keyboard very carefully)
The Amiga is a great machine.
