No, you're quite correct, and I've even said that myself… bus extension or a cable… it's just that you need 32 bits, right? that means a _change_, right? Well, what have the idiots over at cbm done EVERY time there was a change? (Zorro I, Zorro II, A1000, A500, B2000) ? They changed, incompatibly, the busses physical and/or electrical and/or autoconfig definition. Egendering endless admiration from developers each time. Sphere, huh? You old 6800 hacker, you! Anyway, sure it could be done compatibly — what makes you think they know what the word means? And I know they did a great job of software compatibility, before we go through that… but it doesn't make the hardware any better. –Ben–
